Framekin for parents: what to know before your teen installs it

Framekin shows photos from people your teen chose, and nobody else, on their home screen. Here are straight answers to what parents ask first.

Can strangers contact my teen?

No. There is no search, no public profile and no feed. A person can only send something after your teen added them with a personal code or link.

Are there ads?

No ads, and photos are not analysed for advertising.

Who can see the photos?

Photos and videos are end-to-end encrypted. Only the people in the conversation hold the keys, so Framekin cannot look at them. If someone reports a photo, the person reporting chooses to share that one photo with us for review. One exception: moments sent before 28 October 2026 stay readable by us until 27 December 2026. More in the privacy policy.

What can I control as a parent?

Guardian lock protects three safety settings with a 6-digit PIN only you know: review of first photos from new friends, safe mode (new friends need approval before they are added) and the block list. Your teen can still block and report with one tap.

How old do you have to be?

Framekin is for ages 16 and up. Teens aged 13 to 15 may use it only with a parent's permission. It is not meant for children under 13. See the terms.

What does it cost?

The app starts with 14 days free. After that a Plus or Max subscription applies, shown in Google Play before you confirm. You can cancel any time in Google Play, and we remind you two days before the trial ends.

How do we delete everything?

Settings, Delete my account. Photos and friendships are removed. The steps are on the page Delete account.

Who makes it?
